On Wednesday I did my first head stand (since I was 10). Part of our workout was to spend as much of 10 minutes as possible upside-down. Fair game positions included: hand stands, headstands, and tripods. I was tempted to ask if I could hang from my legs on the pull up structure, but I knew my coach Rob would say no.
After a demo, I got into the tripod position all right, but for some reason I doubted myself and didn’t think I could get my legs up in the air. The truth is, it was super easy. I just lifted them slowly off of my elbows and I was in a head stand!
Ten seconds later, I fell over.
